Robert Strandberg joined Clark Street Capital in November 2014 as an analyst. In his first two years Robert was key in assisting loan portfolio sales totaling over $150MM. In 2016 Robert was promoted to Senior Analyst and works side-by-side with Clark Street Capital’s management in closing portfolio sales. He works on due diligence from online research of properties as well as physical site inspections, data management, valuation of loan portfolios and the marketing and sales of Clark Street’s portfolios. In working on loan sales Robert’s primary role is analyzing current risk ratings, action plans, reserve levels, and market values of all assets to bring the best return for our clients.
Robert received his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University with a double major in entrepreneurship and advertising, as well as a minor in sales. Prior to joining Clark Street Capital, Strandberg owned his own business in college and was a marketing intern for the Chicago Bulls. In 2010, while in college Robert was a retail store manager and was asked to be the keynote speaker at the annual managers conference after leading the country in sales.
Strandberg originates from Edina, Minnesota. While in high school, he was an active participant in DECA business club and competed and placed nationally. Strandberg, a huge golfer and fan of the sport, grew up a caddie at Interlachen Country Club in Minnesota, and continued caddying throughout college as well at Olympia Fields Country Club. Robert was an honor caddy at both courses.
